● Pack your bags and get ready for your flight to Tokyo!

● Welcome to Tokyo, the vibrant capital of Japan, where cutting-edge technology and ancient traditions merge seamlessly.
● Upon arrival, make your own way to the hotel, or you can opt for the private transfer to ease your convenience.
● If you arrive before the standard check-in time of 3:00 pm, feel free to store your luggage at the hotel and start exploring!
Did you know? Tokyo was originally called Edo and became the imperial capital of Japan in 1868 when Emperor Meiji moved the seat of government from Kyoto and renamed it Tokyo, meaning "Eastern Capital."

● Start the day exploring Tokyo’s rich blend of history and modernity, from serene shrines and bustling markets to iconic landmarks and vibrant streets, as you immerse yourself in the culture and energy of Japan's dynamic capital.
Did you know? Tsukiji Market was once the world’s largest wholesale fish market, handling over 2,000 tons of seafood daily, including some of the rarest and most expensive fish on the planet! Its famous tuna auctions attracted global attention, with individual bluefin tuna sometimes selling for millions of dollars.

● Spend the day at leisure, or join our optional to witness Mount Fuji Majesty & Hakone highlights, where you’ll experience the awe-inspiring beauty of Mount Fuji, explore the serene landscapes of Hakone, and immerse yourself in Japan’s natural wonders.
Did you know that women were once forbidden from climbing Mt. Fuji? Women were strictly prohibited from climbing the mountain for centuries until 1872, and even then, they were only allowed as high as the mountain’s second stage. One of the main reasons was the belief that women, especially beautiful ones, might anger Konohana-sakuya-hime (the goddess of Mt. Fuji), causing it to erupt.

● This morning, make your own way to the station and board the Shinkansen bullet train bound for Kyoto.
● After arriving, head to your hotel independently for check-in and take some time to unwind.
● Explore the iconic Gion district at your own pace, known for its traditional wooden machiya houses and the opportunity to spot geishas walking through its charming streets.
● Continue your journey with a stroll through the historic streets of Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka, where you can independently discover charming shops, traditional teahouses, and scenic views that capture the essence of Kyoto's old-world charm.
● Don’t know what to do? Join us on an optional Gion walking tour & Tea Ceremony.
Did you know? Gion is home to the most famous geishas in Japan. The district has been a hub for geishas and Maikos (apprentices) for centuries, and it still maintains its cultural heritage today.

● Take the day to explore Kyoto at your own pace, with time to visit the sights that interest you most.
● Need a guide around Kyoto? Join our optional Kyoto Highlights Tour and explore some of the city’s must-see destinations.
Did you know Kyoto is home to over 2,000 temples, shrines, and religious sites, including famous landmarks like the Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji) and Fushimi Inari Taisha with its thousands of iconic red torii gates. It’s often referred to as the "City of a Thousand Shrines."

● This morning, make your own way to the station to board the Shinkansen bullet train to Osaka.
● Alternatively, if you’d like to visit Nara, you can join our optional Nara and Osaka highlights tour from Kyoto by bus, after which you will transfer back to your Osaka hotel.
Did you know? The famous Osaka Castle, originally built in the 16th century by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, played a key role in the unification of Japan during the Sengoku period.

● Sayōnara! Today marks the conclusion of your Japan tour! Please make your own way to the airport for your return flight home.
● You can also opt for our private airport drop off service for a smooth transfer.
