● Start your amazing trip right at the Equator. Visit the Mitad del Mundo monument, or the “Middle of the World,” just 45 minutes north of Quito.
● Walk around the rim of the dormant Pululahua Volcanic Crater.
● Stand across two hemispheres in the interactive Intiñan Museum.
● Visit the Ethnographic Museum, showcasing the diverse cultures of Ecuador’s indigenous groups.
● Head back to Quito for lunch, then visit the Historic Center, also known as the "City Colonial," one of the best-preserved colonial areas in Latin America. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with narrow cobblestone streets, grand plazas, and beautifully restored buildings that date back to the 16th century.
● Visit the Plaza de la Independencia which is surrounded by important buildings like the Presidential Palace, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the Archbishop’s Place.
● Get a good look at the San Francisco Church and Plaza, one of the oldest in Quito, dating back to the 16th century.
● Then enjoy a chocolate experience, which begins with a guided tour about the history of cacao before a chocolate tasting.
