Maldives Visa Requirements:
U.S., Canada, Australia, Mexico and Schengen Area passport holders require a visa to enter Maldives. Visa on Arrival is eligible but E-visa is not available.
Tourist visa is granted for all nationalities on arrival to the Maldives. As such, a foreigner travelling to Maldives as a tourist does not require pre-approval for the visa. However, the person must satisfy the basic entry requirements to get immigration clearance upon arrival.
Basic Requirement:
1. A passport or a travel document with Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) with at least 1 month validity. (Passengers with an extended validity in their passports are not allowed to enter.)
2. A complete travel itinerary, including confirmed return journey tickets, a prepaid confirmed booking at a registered facility, and sufficient funds to cover the stay in the Maldives, or a pre-approved sponsorship visa from Maldives Immigration.
3. Entry requirements to their onward destinations; for example, the visa and passport validity.
4. All foreigners arriving in the Maldives must complete and submit the ‘Traveller Declaration’ form. The form can be completed up to 96 hours (4 days) before your arrival in Maldives. Submission of the form is free of charge and must be filled electronically via the IMUGA portal.
5. Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate, if applicable. Children under 1 year of age are exempt from Yellow Fever vaccination. Click here to check the Yellow Fever endemic countries.
Important Notes:
● Passport Requirements: Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your intended date of arrival in Maldives.
● Other Passport Holders: Travelers from other countries should check with the Maldives consulate website for specific visa requirements.
All travel service bookings require a $400 per person deposit, except in specific cases. Additional deposit amounts are based on requirements by the vendor and the specific itinerary and may vary for each itinerary. This deposit is fully refundable before the balance due date for Voyager, Adventurer, and Elite members at the time of booking, whereas Pathfinder and Insider members will incur a cancelation fee equal to the initial deposit amount.
All balances are due 219 days before the start of your trip.
If your invoice shows an outstanding balance after the Balance Due date, please contact us through our online chat support to discuss the next steps regarding your travel services. The deposit will be non-refundable if a cancelation request is submitted after the final payment due date.

Value Airfare: A deposit of US$300 per person is required for airfare bookings. Voyager, Adventurer, and Elite members at the time of booking qualify for a full refund of this deposit if canceled before the balance due date, Pathfinder and Insider members will incur a cancelation fee equal to the deposit amount. The deposit amount for other aspects of the itinerary may vary depending on the supplier’s terms and conditions. Final payment is due by the specified balance due date.
