● On a full-day tour, visit Jiufen Village, Yehliu Geopark, and Pingxi District.

Did you know: Yangmingshan National Park is home to Taiwan's highest dormant volcano Seven Star Mountain, named for its seven peaks which resemble the shape of the Big Dipper constellation. You can see the prominent peaks from Taipei on a clear day, or visit the park (located about an hour north of the city) for a closer look.

● Visit top Taipei landmarks on a group tour. See the Grand Hotel Taipei, the National Palace Museum, Dihua Street, the Cheng’en Gate, Ximending Commercial District, the Longshan Temple, Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, and the Taipei 101 Mall.
Did you know: The Cheng’en Gate is one of the few remaining remnants of the old city wall built during the 19th century.

● Soak up your last day in Taipei or join an optional tour to the Taroko Gorge.
Suggested activity: Head to the Huashan 1914 Creative Park and wander the various art galleries, watch an indie film at the cinema, or attend a live performance or workshop. This former wine factory has an industrial-chic vibe, blending old brick buildings with modern installations. The surrounding area also features cafes and boutiques that are ripe for exploring.

● Today you’ll travel from Taipei to Taichung.
● Make your own way to the Taipei train station where you’ll activate your Flexible THSR (Taiwan High Speed Rail) 2-Day Pass and hop on a High Speed Train to Taichung.
● On arrival, use public transportation or a taxi to get to your hotel in Taichung on your own.

● Activate your Taiwan Railway Pass (TR-3 Day) at a train station.
Suggested activity: Take advantage of your rail pass and visit Changhua, a 20-minute train ride from Taichung. See the impressive Great Buddha Statue at Baguashan and wander along historic Lukang Old Street, where you can explore well-preserved architecture and traditional Taiwanese shops.

● Using your rail pass, travel from Taichung to Kaohsiung today.
● On arrival, use public transportation or a taxi to get to your new hotel for check-in.

Suggested activity: Visit the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas at Lotus Pond in Kaohsiung, where you can enter through the dragon's mouth and exit through the tiger's mouth for good fortune. ● Take the day to sightsee on your own.
Suggested activity: Take a short train ride from Kaohsiung to Tainan using your rail pass, and explore the historic Chikan Tower, originally built by the Dutch in the 17th century. Wander through Snail Alley, a charming area with narrow streets adorned with vibrant street art, unique cafes, and boutique shops. Finally, visit the Tainan Cultural and Creative Park, housed in a repurposed Japanese-era factory, to discover local art and crafts.

● Enjoy your last day in Kaohsiung exploring on your own.
Suggested activity: Make your way to Cijin Island, where you can relax on the beach, explore the colorful Cihou Fort, and enjoy fresh seafood at the local market. End the day with a scenic bike ride along the coastal bike path, taking in the beautiful sunset views.

● Head to the train station via taxi or public transport then take a high speed train to Taipei using your THSR 2-day pass.
● On arrival, make your way to the hotel to check in.

Suggested activity: For a memorable final night in Taipei, take a relaxing evening stroll through the illuminated Ximending district, known for its vibrant nightlife, trendy shops, and street performances. Cap off the night with a visit to Elephant Mountain for a short hike, where you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the Taipei skyline, beautifully lit against the night sky.

● Bid farewell to Taipei. As your journey comes to an end, please remember to arrange your own transfer to the airport.

Taiwan Visa Requirements
U.S., Canada, Australia and Schengen Area passport holders do not require a visa for stays up to 90 days.
Mexico passport holders require a visa to enter Taiwan. E-visa is available but Visa on Arrival is not available.
